Also be aware, managers must submit a ticket request within 5-7 days, anything less than that managers must be aware that hardware may be delayed

 


Follow up with informing the manager that a laptop does not limit access. More just to educate them.

"By policy we try to stay away from providing contractors/consultants Mirum managed devices. If your worry is that the new hire will have limited access, that won't be the case since all our work portal applications and access is based on the cloud. Which means they can access everything from their personal laptop. If there are any questions or concerns please let us know, thanks!" (Contractors can access all Mirum apps via Okta from a personal device)

 

If managers still insist, have them justify their need and follow up with 2 question for approval.

 

"Please provide justification on your request for the contractor needing a laptop. Will the contractor be working on Mirum account for 40+ hours a week and will they be downloading critical Mirum documents outside of SharePoint, Box and OneDrive?"
