Bookmark App was used to auto-launch certain applications. 


This was created to alleviate the manual follow-up to have users provision accounts by clicking on the Okta tile and ensuring that training has been assigned.

Creating Bookmark App

1. Locate the Application that will be creating the Bookmark App>General>Copy Embed Link

2. Navigate to Applications>Browse App Catalog>Search for Bookmark App>Add Integration>

  • Application Label: Auto Open - Application, Note: Users will see this in there tiles
  • Added Copied Embed Link into URL
  • Leave the checkbox unchecked. Need to have Display application icon to user show to have the tabs pop up.

3. Save


Once the application has been created, update the following settings:

  • General
    • Check Box for Auto-Launch
  • Sign On
    • User Authentication - Authentication Policy: Classic Migrated


Create a Group to assign Bookmark Apps

  1. Navigate to Directory>Groups>Add Group
    • Name: Purpose of Group
    • Description: Brief description of purpose and group.
  2. Assign Applications>Applications>Assign applications>locate the Bookmark App created in the steps above
  3. Add People to assign Application
  4. Current process to assign New Hires with Okta to this group and remove them after 1 week.


Pending Automation_currently with Bruce to see if we can create a rule to auto added and remove users from this group.
