OKTA Verify setup    

 

Audience – Tier 1, Tier 2

 

Description:

          This guide explains the process to set up OKTA for SSO.

 

Setting up OKTA:

  • First time sign in and set up OKTA Verify
  • On your mobile device, you need to use the app store to find and install the ‘OKTA Verify’ application.

  •  The next step is started on your computer.  Open a modern browser (Chrome is preferred, but Chrome, Safari, or Firefox will work) and browse to: https://mirumpharma.okta.com           
  •  Enter your full Mirum email in the first field and the password provided in the second
  • Upon successful authentication; you will be presented with the configuration screen. You must click the ‘Configure factor’
  • The next screen will prompt you to select your device platform, pick Android or iOS and click the ‘Next’ button
  •  Open Okta verify on your mobile device.
  •  Tap ‘Add Account’  (note these screens are from an Apple device – Android Device screens may be different)

  • Select the affirmative option to allow OKTA Verify to use your camera.

  • Select Allow to the notifications prompt

  • Select allow for access to the camera:

  • Now use the camera to take scan the QR code that OKTA is showing you on your PC
  • Once your device is successfully registered on your PC, you will be taken to Mirum’s OKTA Home page:
  • This completes the configuration of OKTA Verify – which means that you can now use your Mirum credentials for SSO purposes.

 

Escalations:

If escalation is necessary, please escalate to Tier 2 as first POC, if Tier 2 is unavailable please escalate to SME.

 

If neither the Tier 2 nor SME is available and the issue is urgent, escalate to Sam Li.
